Strategic human resource management involves an integrated approach to the development of people strategies to enable an organisation achieve its long-term business goals. I assist clients in formulating their HR strategies in the areas of recruitment and resourcing, learning and development, performance and reward management as well as employee relations policies. I also have practical experience of managing the human resource aspects of company mergers, acquisitions and disposals, including due diligence.
The sourcing and selection of quality managers and leaders is a major investment by any organisation. I can assist clients at each stage of the process, from defining their requirements, preparing role and person specifications through to selection and interview stages. I have extensive experience of chairing interview panels for senior management and professional grades using competency based interview methods.
Performance management describes the key activities concerned with improving individual and team performance. I have wide experience of developing role profiles, designing performance appraisal systems and 360 degree feedback mechanisms as well as training line managers on how to manage performance within their teams.
